DEKRA Experten bei ITC Konferenz in Genf

“DEKRA was present at the United Nations Office in Geneva from 21 to 24 February 2023 to participate in the 85th session of the Inland Transport Committee (ITC).
The ITC is the United Nations platform for inland transport to help efficiently address global and regional needs in inland transport. Over the last 75 years, together with its subsidiary bodies, the ITC has provided an intergovernmental forum, where the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and United Nations Member States come together to forge tools for economic cooperation and negotiate and adopt international legal instruments on inland transport. These legal instruments are considered indispensable for developing efficient, harmonized and integrated, safe and sustainable inland transport systems.
This year session focused on the role that the inland transport sector can play to support climate action and reduce impact on the environment. During the plenary session Christoph Nolte, Head of Vehicle Inspection Service Division – Executive Vice President DEKRA SE, gave a speech on the manipulation of the SCR system, highlighting DEKRA’s activities in the field of emissions testing.
Furthermore, Oliver Deiters, Head of Global External Affairs and Public Policy of DEKRA e.V./SE, had the honour to interview Olga Algayerova, Executive Secretary of the UNECE. And François E. Guichard, Secretary to the Working Party on Automated/Autonomous and Connected Vehicles UNECE, shared with DEKRA his views on automated vehicles and digitalization in automotive transport.”
